The School Street community is a streetscape of 26 front porch revival homes in the heart of downtown Libertyville. This planned community's vision is to promote a new urban lifestyle connected to the community, pedestrian-friendly, less excessive, more sensitive to the environment and within steps of Libertyville's vibrant downtown. PSLA was chosen to work with the architect, Sarah Susanka, who has written a series of "Not So Big" home books to create the model home, known as the "Not So Big Show House." PSLA designed street-level green space and rooftop garden, making the most of minimalistic areas and showing how a small garden has a big impact.
