Located in downtown Waukegan across from the historic Genesee Theater, Academy Square is a public courtyard surrounded on three sides by a newly constructed mixed-use development. For this 3,000 square foot courtyard, PSLA designed a public open space that creates an inviting building entry experience, including space for seating, circulation, public art and outdoor dining for the first-floor restaurant.
