The founder and primary representative of the firm, Pamela is a registered landscape architect with more than 25 years of experience on a wide range of commercial and residential projects. She oversees the vast collection of projects that PSLA is currently involved with.
Pamela's love of landscape began young while working with her grandfather in his garden, caddying for her father on the golf course and playing with her siblings in the DuPage County forest preserves. Her love of design evolved with her mothers' artistic interests, her high school drafting class and her fascination with the built world. All these experiences built the foundation for her eventual career path.
Pamela's design sensibilities were shaped during the first several years of her career while working for one of Chicago's leading landscape architectural firms, Joe Karr and Associates. In addition to establishing and managing her successful private practice, Pamela taught part time at an Illinois community college and served as the reviewing landscape architect for two villages.
When Pamela is not in the office, she's spending time with her family and friends. Perhaps this weekend if she's not drawing in the office she will be discussing a new medical research article with her son in St Louis, enjoying the rich culture in Chicago with her daughter, or cheering for her youngest daughter in collegiate volleyball in Rhode Island.
Leslie is an expert in office management. She organizes all the moving parts inherent in sophisticated landscape design and architecture. Her background spans pharmaceutical, operations, customer service and travel planner, so she's ready for anything unexpected. She enables the day-to-day financial operations of PSLA including collaboration with vendors and clients and navigates the waters of the rigorous schedule of our LA firm with a calm demeanor and ever-positive attitude.
When Leslie is not scheduling, billing or keeping everyone on task, she may be cheering her boys at a baseball game or running a marathon in the rain.
